How setup works
What it does
One small Make scenario with 4 modules. It runs in your own Make account with your own Google connection. Nothing runs through Flowpaja.
Finds what’s overdue
Status Unpaid and a due date before today. Paid, Paused, Disputed and Partial are left out.
Days overdue and total
Most overdue first, with the total per currency (up to 3 currencies).
One email, only to you
Sent from your Gmail to your own address. No overdue invoices means no email that day.
What’s in the download
One zip (v1.0, 25 Sep 2026). Tested in Make with a Run once on fictional data: the email listed exactly the 4 overdue Unpaid invoices and left out the other 5 sample rows.

Setup in about 10 minutes
You need a Make.com account (the Free plan works) and a Google account with Sheets and Gmail.
Copy the sheet
Google Sheets › Blank spreadsheet › File › Import › upload the example .xlsx › Replace spreadsheet.
Import the blueprint
In Make: Create a new scenario › ⋯ menu › Import Blueprint. Pick your sheet in module 1 and connect Gmail in module 4.
Enter your email
In the Gmail module, replace YOUR-EMAIL with your own address. Click Run once: 4 invoices, EUR 4,230.00.
Schedule it daily
Set the schedule to every day (e.g. 08:00), not every 15 minutes. Switch it on and replace the sample rows with your invoices.
Limits
A free, deliberately simple template.
- It only tells you. It never emails clients, writes to your sheet or checks your bank. You keep the Status column up to date.
- Make credits. About 4 credits on a day with overdue invoices, 1–2 on other days (roughly 30–120 a month on a daily schedule). Make’s Free plan currently includes 1,000 credits a month; check make.com/pricing.
- Clean data needed. Due dates must be real dates and amounts plain numbers. Rows with an empty or text due date or amount are skipped.
- Gmail re-authorization. Personal Gmail connections in Make need re-authorizing about every six months.
- Time zone. “Today” and “days overdue” use your Make organization’s time zone.
Want the reminders sent for you?
The Polite Invoice Reminder ($19) uses the same sheet columns and emails your clients a friendly, then firm, then final reminder from your own Gmail. Test mode is on by default, and it has stop controls (Paid, Paused, Disputed, Partial), a sending history per invoice and a log tab.
FAQ
Is it really free? What’s the catch?
Yes, it’s a free download with no sign-up. It’s a simple version of our paid Polite Invoice Reminder, and we hope you’ll like it enough to upgrade later. You pay nothing to Flowpaja. Make’s Free plan is enough to run it.
Can it email my clients by mistake?
No. The only recipient is the address you type into the Gmail module’s “To” field. Client email addresses in the sheet aren’t used by this scenario.
I already use an invoicing app. Do I need this?
Probably not, if your app already shows overdue invoices or sends reminders. This is for people who track invoices in a Google Sheet.
Can I change the email text or the schedule?
Yes. Edit the subject and HTML content in the Gmail module, and set any schedule in Make (daily, weekdays only, or weekly).
Is my data sent to Flowpaja?
No. The scenario runs in your own Make account with your own Google connections. The download contains no connections, IDs or tokens.
